Wolves are known to exhibit monogamous mating behavior. Within a wolf pack, the dominant male and female, often referred to as the alpha pair, typically form a long-term pair bond. This pair is usually the primary breeder for the group, and their social structure supports cooperative care of the young, contributing to pack cohesion.
